Anita Hui
SW Settlement Program (Front Counter Services)
Anita Hui has been volunteering at the Front Counter for more than 5 years. She is a dependable volunteer who shows her passion, commitment and understanding in helping and supporting the front counter staff. She is willing to assist any task and shows her ability to perform various duties. She is very committed and reliable. We truly enjoy working with her and we are grateful for her support!

Eddie Lo
DT Settlement Program
Eddie has been volunteering at ASSIST for more than 2 years. He has helped with many different programs and activities, such as the flu shot, Christmas Bureau, Tax clinic, senior program and fundraising events. Eddie is conscientious and diligent. He also has a high level of commitment. It is a pleasure to work with him.

Hinson Chan
SW Youth Program
Hinson has volunteered with the Downtown TANG and Southwest TANG program. He has a great rapport with the youth and easily connects with them. He is reliable, works well in a team, and takes up leadership roles when needed. Hinson comes with a positive attitude which inspires everyone at TANG. Thank you Hinson for being an amazing and outstanding volunteer!

Ivy Bang
DT Youth Program
Ivy Bang has been volunteering for TANG for the last 2 years. As an alumni of the youth program, she has given back by being available as a friend, teacher, and mentor. She is dedicated to the improvement and capacity building of youth and TANG is very lucky to have her as a part of the team.

Jacqui Goon
SW Settlement Program (Employment)
Jacqui has demonstrated strong leadership skills in her volunteer work. She has been an asset during job fairs and employment workshops. She has exemplified strong crowd management skills, and she is pro-active and provides suggestions for improvement. She goes the extra mile while performing her duties. Her commitment, punctuality, and the quality of her volunteer work are highly recognised and appreciated by our staff and clients.

Lili Wang
DT Settlement Program (Front Counter Services)
Lili is humble, hardworking and a quick learner. She is eager to learn and lend a hand to others. As a front desk volunteer, she has always demonstrated a keen sense of responsibility and carefulness, and a sincere friendliness when engaging with our clients. Her help and support are highly appreciated!

Ruby Wang
SW Settlement Program (Tax Clinic)
Ruby has participated in the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program as a Tax Preparer for the past year. She helped many families file their taxes. She also volunteered as an interpreter and a workshop assistant. She provided good interpretation services in helping clients fully understand workshop content. She has always demonstrated a willingness to help others. We truly appreciate and enjoy working with her!

Ryan Park
DT Settlement Program (Canadian Corner)
Ryan continued contributing his time and energy to the “Canadian Corner” program in the past year. He was an excellent facilitator, coach and mentor in the group. He shared his rich knowledge and experience on Canadian culture and topics related to life in Canada and he supported us greatly by providing his equipment in our program, such as hockey gear and skiing gear. He also helped us facilitate a great workshop called “Winter Safety”. His passion, commitment and kind support to our community are very much appreciated!

Teresa Fung
DT Senior Program
Teresa has been volunteering with ASSIST for more than 15 years. She has helped with many various activities and programs such as the Tax Clinic, Flu Shot, LINC Program, Seniors Program, and fundraising events. She has been volunteering for the senior program as a team leader for 3 years. She is very punctual and responsible. Her passion, enthusiasm, team spirit, leadership skills and dedication are highly recognized and appreciated by staff and clients.

Wai-Kum Ku
DT Family Program
Wai-Kum has been volunteering for our weekday’s parenting program as child-minding worker since 2016. Wai-Kum is always on time for her volunteer duties. She is hard working and dependable. The children in Family Program really enjoyed her company. Beside these, Wai-Kum spent a lot of time in volunteering at our downtown front counter. We are thankful to have her at ASSIST as a volunteer.
