Statement of Solidarity
ASSIST Community Services Centre stands in solidarity with MinneTESOL members, multilingual adult learners, and their families. Recent immigration enforcement actions have created fear that disrupts adult education and workforce EAL programs. Fear and learning cannot coexist. We honor the dedication of adult educators responding with compassion, flexibility, and trauma-informed care under rapidly changing conditions. We affirm the dignity, safety, and belonging of all learners. Adult education must remain a space of safety and welcome. We stand for the right to learn without fear.
With solidarity,
ASSIST Community Services Centre
