Helping newcomers navigate life in Canada through reliable information, improved access to resources, and strengthened community integration.

Multicultural Parenting Education

Empowering newcomer and refugee families with healthy parenting skills, support to access resources and strengthen community connections.

Mental Health

Providing culturally and linguistically responsive mental health support for newcomers to Canada, including children, youth, families, and Chinese-speaking seniors

Hello Seniors

Supporting adults aged 55+ in navigating life challenges, accessing resources, and staying connected.

Towards A New Generation

Supporting immigrant youth aged 11–15 in building resilience, well-being, and healthy relationships.

ECALA Funded Program

Free weekly English and digital literacy classes to help newcomers strengthen language skills, build confidence and increase employment readiness.

Special Language Program

Empowering youth and adults through programs that support academic success, financial literacy, and advanced English language skills.

Children’s Summer Camps

Affordable, high-quality summer programs and activities for children aged 6–10 in July and August. Providing support for individuals facing challenges like isolation, discrimination, or family difficulties.

Volunteer Program

Supporting newcomers to learn, grow, build skills, gain Canadian experience through volunteering, and contribute to their communities.

Yan Ding arrived in Canada in summer 2024 with minimal English and little confidence. Through ASSIST’s volunteer program, and encouragement from staff, she practiced and quickly grew. During tax season 2025, she volunteered 118 hours at the front desk and won the Outstanding Volunteer Award through our program.
