Saturday Life Skills and Leadership Program
Join us for fun workshops, challenging activities, sports, crafts, field trips, self-development and leadership opportunities. Explore your potential while making new friends!
Workshop topics include: self-esteem, communication skills, goal setting, personal strengths, body image, peer pressure, consent, conflict resolution, healthy relationships, and more.
Date: Saturdays from September to June
Location: Southwest Office
Age: Grade 6 – Grade 12
Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm or 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $40 for 10 Saturdays
Thursday Homework Club
Need a quiet place to do school work? Get help with homework, study for tests, and learn good study habits. We can provide extra practice in subjects you want to improve. Tutors are available to help you reach your goals.
Students who are English as an Additional Language (EAL), English Language Learners (ELL), or English as a Second Language (ESL) are warmly welcomed.
Date: Thursdays from September to June
Age: Grade 4 – Grade 10
Location: Southwest Office
Time: 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
Friday Teen Night
Come with friends or meet new people. We have board games, card games, mahjong, and foosball. Outdoor sports will be played, weather permitting. Arts and crafts are available. Relax after your week at school.
Date: Fridays from September to June

Time: 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Youth Volleyball Program at City of Edmonton Rec. Centres
Come join us for drop-in volleyball in the gym. Whether you’re just learning or already a pro, everyone’s welcome. We’ll mix it up with drills and lots of gameplay!
Homework help is available on Wednesdays at Booster Juice Recreation Centre in Terwillegar.
*There will be no drop-in volleyball from October 14 to December 9, 2025. In partnership with Volleyball Alberta, we will be offering a FREE 8-week Volleyball and Youth Leadership Camp. Each week will include a 45 minute life skills learning session led by T.A.N.G. staff followed by 1.25 hours of skills/technique practice and game play led by professional volleyball coaches. Must register to attend. Limited spots available.
Date: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from September to June
Age: Grade 6 – Grade 12
Location 1: Tuesdays at The Meadows Recreation Centre, Main Gym
Location 2: Wednesdays at Booster Juice Recreation Centre in Terwillegar, Multipurpose Room 4 and Gym 2

Homework Club
Do you need help with completing assignments, studying for quizzes and exams, or just need a place to study and do work? Get the support to succeed from post-secondary volunteers who are passionate to help you do your best.
Date: Saturdays from September to June
Age: 11 to 15
Location: Downtown Office
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $20 for 10 Saturdays
Volunteer Opportunities
Interested in furthering your leadership skills? Do you enjoy making a difference and working with young people? Not only can you gain valuable work experience and volunteer hours, but you can also use your personal knowledge and skills for a good cause in the community.
We are looking for program leaders and tutors for our programs. Volunteers should be over 18 and can commit to at least 20 hours over 3 months.
