T.A.N.G. YOUTH PROGRAM
T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Join us for fun workshops, challenging activities, sports, crafts, field trips, self-development and leadership opportunities. Explore your potential while making new friends!
Workshop topics include: self-esteem, communication skills, goal setting, personal strengths, body image, peer pressure, consent, conflict resolution, healthy relationships, and more.
Date: Saturdays from September to June
Age: 11 to 15
Location: Downtown and Southwest Office
Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (Southwest only) or 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Both locations)
Cost: $40 for 10 Saturdays
After-School Drop-In and Homework Tutorial Class
Get help with homework, study for tests, and learn good study habits. Tutors are available to help you reach your goals. Just want to relax? Learn and play our extensive collection of tabletop games.
Date: Thursdays from September to June
Age: Grade 6, junior high and high school students
Location: Southwest Office
Time: 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
City of Edmonton Recreation Centre Drop In Program
This program offers the same support as the after-school program above but also has access to a gym. Come play various sports (e.g. volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and basketball), meet new people, work on your skills, and have fun!
Date: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from September to June
Age: Elementary, junior high and high school students
Location 1: Tuesdays at The Meadows Recreation Centre, Multipurpose Room 102 and Gym
Location 2: Wednesdays at Terwillegar Recreation Centre, Multipurpose Room 4 and Gym 2
Time: 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Homework Club
Do you need help with completing assignments, studying for quizzes and exams, or just need a place to study and do work? Get the support to succeed from post-secondary volunteers who are passionate to help you do your best.
Date: Saturdays from September to June
Age: 11 to 15
Location: Downtown Office
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $20 for 10 Saturdays
Volunteer Opportunities
Interested in furthering your leadership skills? Do you enjoy making a difference and working with young people? Not only can you gain valuable work experience and volunteer hours, but you can also use your personal knowledge and skills for a good cause in the community.
We are looking for program leaders and tutors for our programs. Volunteers should be over 18 and can commit to at least 20 hours over 3 months.
