The Culturally Responsive Mental Health Navigation Program provides culturally and linguistically responsive mental health support for newcomers. Services are available in Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Somali, and English to help individuals manage emotional challenges, reduce stress, and strengthen their well-being as they settle and build their lives in Canada.
The Culturally Responsive Mental Health Navigation Program provides culturally and linguistically responsive outreach mental health support for newcomer children, youth, families, and seniors in Edmonton. Outreach workers help individuals and families navigate mental health services, connect with community resources, reduce barriers to care, and promote overall well-being through early intervention and ongoing support.
Eligible low-income newcomer individuals and families can also access up to three no-cost, culturally and linguistically sensitive counselling sessions with a qualified therapist. Services are available in Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Somali, and English, helping clients access support in a language and cultural context they are most comfortable with.
